Vision Quest

Red River Gorge, KY

May 17-24, 2025

The Vision Quest is a simple and powerful ceremony that exists in many traditional cultures throughout the world.  It has often been used as a rite of passage for a person to change their relationship with the world around them, as they move from child into adult, or from one phase of their life into the next.

The Vision Quest is a protected solo wilderness experience.  The quester remains in a 10 foot circle of their choosing, in nature, for 4 days and 4 nights.  During this time, the quester fasts from all things familiar, drinking only water, and being in the majesty of nature.  This uninterrupted opportunity allows the quester to be aware of the nature around and within them, to reflect on life and their choices, and to be with themselves.  This closeness with the natural world is rarely experienced within the modern world, yet it is innate in how we as humans have evolved.

The Vision Quest is an experience between the quester and the natural world of creation.  The support the quester receives before and after the experience is to help move through the natural discomforts and challenges that the Quest provides, while giving tools for the quester to interpret their own vision, as they experience it.

This Quest is run in the tradition passed down from the Lipan Apache scout Stalking Wolf, to Tom Brown, Jr., as taught by Malcolm Ringwalt.  The experience includes a day of preparation, four days and nights within the quest circle, finished with a day of integration.

The suggested donation for this Quest is $700.00 by Venmo, cash, or check/money order made out to GPS Healing.   This donation is not payment for the Vision Quest teachings, but covers the many expenses incurred in running this program, such as the meals for the 4 days you are not Questing, supplies, travel expenses, insurance, etc., that enables us to continue to offer this program to those who are called to it. Further, it is a measure of your commitment to what you are undertaking and a measure of respect for your guides and protectors in the experience.

“The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Latter will take care of itself. It always does.”
